Heat Pump Engineer
Location: Within 1 hour of Bracknell, (travel across West London, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about tackling the climate emergency to join an expanding renewable energy installation firm. This position is being created due to increasing demand for our services designing and delivering renewable energy solutions for householders.
Nature of the role

You will be required to participate in activities to support this endeavour.

We are a training organisation and currently have a number of apprentices. A key part of the role will be to instruct, coach and guide them in all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities and duties
Work as part of a team to install air and ground source heat pump systems into people’s homes.
This includes:

Coaching and directing apprentices.

Service, maintenance and call-outs for heating system faults

Following supplied schematic designs to install efficient, reliable heating systems.

Removal of existing heating systems, including tanks, pipework etc.

Installation of new radiators and valves with pipework and boxing to a high standard

Wiring and commissioning of new systems

Maintain current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures.

Maintain a clean and respectful work environment at customers' properties, ensuring the seamless execution of tasks.

Providing outstanding customer service at all times.

Overcome technical challenges and be comfortable working as part of a team.

Adhere to high HSE standards and be accountable for your own, customers, and your colleagues' safety.
The role is remote from the company’s office in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will be based at customer sites for the duration of an installation.
What to bring
-
Significant experience and technical ability in the installation of new and replacement of full heating systems, including pipe sizing and system design.

Minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent experience) in Plumbing and Heating.

Familiarity with domestic hot and cold-water systems.

A love of teaching and learning and a passion to pass on your skills to a new generation of installers.

The ability to work independently and within a team.

Excellent customer-facing skills.

A full and clean driving licence.
Not essential, but it would be great if you had some of the below

​Proven background installing heat pumps, including wiring, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting abilities.

UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems

Gas safe certification
-
BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation

Solar Site Support and Design

Salary: £35 – £42,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Solar PV Installer to join a growing renewable energy installation firm. The role involves leading the roof-based aspect of domestic solar photovoltaic installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard, as part of a coordinated team of roofers and electricians.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the roof-based installation of domestic solar PV systems, ensuring quality, safety and compliance.

Work closely with electricians and other team members to deliver complete systems to specification.

Oversee roof preparation, mounting system layout, panel placement and mechanical fixing.

Take responsibility for site safety, risk assessments and working-at-height procedures.
-
Diagnose and resolve installation issues and faults promptly.
-
Maintain a clean, respectful work environment at customer properties.

Support, coach and guide apprentices and less experienced colleagues on-site.
-
Participate in ongoing training and skills development as required.
What to bring
-
A valid UK driving licence and ability to drive yourself reliably to sites within 1 hour of Bracknell (essential).

Experience in domestic solar PV installation on a variety of roofs, including mounting and wiring coordination.

Proven ability to lead a small roof-based team and maintain high installation standards.

Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly working at height.

Background in roofing or electrical work (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent experience)

Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
